Take a journey through historic Adelaide and
immerse yourself in South Australia's heritage.
A guided walking tour that takes a step beyond sightseeing to tell the story of Adelaide's unique history evolved from four years' experience as an accredited guide with the State library. The people and events of the past were mostly celebrated by static monuments, the stories behind those people and events tending to be missed.
Adelaide is unique in many respects; it differs from earlier Australian colonies in Australia in that South Australia was not a convict destination but was based on free settlement. Those early pioneers brought with them utopian ideas for a new society. Did they succeed?

I was raised in time honoured Lancaster, its ancient origins nurturing a fascination for history and archaeology. My years as a stage performer and a writer of children's novels have developed in me the skills of a storyteller. My work with the State Library has exposed me to the rich history of this still fledgling colony. There are stories to tell and it will give me great pleasure to walk with you in the footsteps of those who created them.
Look for the fella with the yella umbrella, he is whimsical, personable, welcoming, enjoys meeting new people, is a storyteller and has a passion for historic Adelaide.
I want you to be able to tell your friends and family, that your visit to Adelaide was not just memorable it was fantastic!!
